Day off

今個weekend要返工,所以今日趁著dayoff,就去shopping。

其實Brooklyn都無乜好地方shopping,加上又下雨,所以只係隨便開車去附近兜兜。但係越行越開心,因爲竟然有斬獲:)短短兩個小時,我買了兩對鞋同一條A-skirt。
返到屋企,媽咪已經準備好美味的晚餐。雖然只是一些簡單的家常菜,但卻係包含了媽媽的關懷,好幸福呀。
飯後,表妹想食甜品,我就趁機試下整Cinnamon Buns。

I didnt put icing on top this time, but overall, i am very satisfy with the result. I will definately make it again.

Ingredients(makes about 12 rolls)):
2 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
1 cup warm milk
2 tablespoon water
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon salk
1 egg
4 cups flour (3c regular, 1c wheat)
filling:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
1/4 cup butter
icing(optional):
5 tablespoons butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoon cream cheese
1/3 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. For the rolls, mix yeast and flour together
2. Mix sugar, milk, oil, egg, water, salt together.
3. Mix liquid mixture to flour, mix until a wet but not sticky dough is form.
4. Knead dough for 5-10 mins until smooth and elastic.
5. Cover and let rise till doubled in size, about 1 hour.
6. Roll the dough out to a ractanglar shape, about 21 by 16 inches, and 1/4 inch thick.
7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
8. To make filling, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
9.Spread butter over surface of dough, than sprinkle ~ 2tablespoons of flour. Sprinkle the filling, then sprinkle some more flour. (flour is to prevent filling from "leaking out" during baking.
10. Roll dough down and seal the edge.
11. Cut into 12-14 slices and place them on baking pan.
12. Bake for 15-20 mins. Prepare icing.
13. When rolls are done, spread icing on top. Done.
